Warranty

Peace of mind (where offered)

Some vehicles we sell may come with a warranty included, and we may also offer a paid warranty option on certain vehicles. If a warranty is available for a specific car, we’ll confirm the provider, term and level of cover in writing before you proceed.

Warranties are optional and additional

A warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace them. Your legal rights (for example under the Consumer Rights Act 2015) still apply.

Third-party warranty cover (what it usually means)

Where a third-party warranty is included or purchased, it is a separate contract between you and the warranty provider, under the provider’s terms and conditions.

What’s covered depends on the vehicle’s age, mileage and the plan level. Warranty terms commonly include:

  • covered components and exclusions (including wear-and-tear exclusions);
  • claim limits and any excess;
  • servicing/maintenance requirements; and
  • rules about where repairs can be carried out.

We’ll provide the warranty documents (or access to them) so you can review the exact cover.

How to make a claim (important)

Always follow the warranty provider’s claims process. In particular:

  • get pre-authorisation before repairs if the warranty requires it; and
  • keep supporting documents (diagnostic report, invoices, service history if required).

Not following the provider’s process can lead to a claim being declined under the provider’s terms.

If there’s no warranty

If a vehicle is sold with no warranty included, we’ll make that clear. This does not affect your statutory rights.
